Will this fit my truck?
Floor console shifters on 2009-2014 Ford F-150, 2010-2014 SVT Raptor, 2010-2014 Lincoln Mark LT, 2007-2017 Ford Expedition and Expedition EL, and 2007-2017 Lincoln Navigator and Navigator L. It does not fit column-shifter trucks, which have no sliding bezel.
How do I tell a floor shifter from a column shifter?
A floor console shifter sits between the front seats and slides through a P R N D M 2 1 gate in the console. A column shifter is a stalk on the steering column. Only the floor version has this part.
What is the plastic piece around the shifter called?
Ford calls it the selector cover, or the automatic transmission shift cover plate. Owners call it the shifter bezel, the shifter dust cover, the gear selector cover, or just the trim around the gear selector. It is the sliding plate that travels with the shifter through the gate.
What is the part number for the Ford shifter bezel?
Ford split it by year and platform. F-150, SVT Raptor and Lincoln Mark LT: BL3Z-7D443-CA for 2011-2014, AL3Z-7D443-BA for 2010, and nothing separate for 2009. Ford Expedition: AL1Z-7D443-AA for 2007-2010, AL1Z-7D443-AB for 2011-2014, FL1Z-7D443-AA for 2015-2017. Lincoln Navigator: AL7Z-7D443-AA for 2007-2014 and FL7Z-7D443-AA for 2015-2017.
Why does it crack?
It is thin rigid plastic that slides through the shift gate on every gear change, in a cabin that bakes in the sun. Heat and UV embrittle it, then it splits beside the gate and opens a hole into the console. Flexible TPU bends instead.
Do I have to replace the whole shifter assembly?
Usually not. The bezel is the wear part and the mechanism under it is normally fine. Dealers quote the assembly because several of the standalone numbers are discontinued, and because on 2009 F-150 builds Ford never sold the cover on its own.
How much does Ford charge?
MSRP runs $125.67 to $176.67 depending on the number, and dealers usually sell below that. Two of the seven part numbers are discontinued entirely. The RL-1001 is $25 shipped free.
Is the carbon fiber look real carbon fiber?
No. It is the same printed and ceramic-coated TPU with a carbon fiber weave texture. Same material, same price, same warranty.
Which finish matches my interior?
Textured black is closest to the factory look on the F-150, Raptor, Mark LT and Expedition. Note that Ford's Navigator bezel is satin nickel, so on a Navigator neither finish is a colour match to the original trim.
How long does it take to install?
Under 30 minutes with a trim tool and a socket set. No cutting, no drilling, no adhesive, and nothing that touches wiring or airbags.
What does the lifetime warranty cover?
If the part cracks, tears or fails for any reason at any time, email barcus@high-shot.com and a replacement ships free. No receipt required.
Where are these made?
In the USA. Printed, ceramic coated and inspected by hand, in batches, by a one-person shop.
